Leza Mesiah Lill tells her story for Outrageous Oral, Volume 14, January 22, 2015, in the Rose Room @ S4 in Dallas. Outrageous Oral is a quarterly evening of poignant memories and stories from Dallas' GLBT past. The Dallas Way is committed to our mission to gather, store, organize, and present the complete GLBT history of Dallas, Texas.
Leza Mesiah's Facebook page states, "I am blessed and ready for the next meaningful experience!" Her experiences are many. The Buffalo, New York native and daughter of NAACP Activist has participated in so many GLBT projects, it is hard to enumerate. "i've always enjoyed being a participant, never wanting to be a leader! But I've been involved in so much. My dad was head of NAACP in Buffalo, and I tried to follow in his footsteps by participation." Leza is a PhD ("Dr. Leza") and just retired after 43 years in media. She was one of the originators of a show called "All Things Considered", and is a BMI recording artist on the Renaissance Faire circuit with a couple of CD's under her belt.
