Patti is a native Texan and has lived in Dallas since 1989. As a Democratic and LGBT activist, Patti has been involved with the HRC DFW National Coming Out Project, Human Rights Campaign Board of Governors, HRC DFW Steering Committee, HRC DFW Federal Club, Dallas Gay and Lesbian Alliance (DGLA) and Dallas Transgender Alliance, as well as LGRL of Texas (now Equality Texas), Stonewall Democrats of Dallas, National Stonewall Democrats, and local, state, and national levels of the Democratic Party.
